ASPCA’s 150th Anniversary Paw-ty
On April 10th, the ASPCA celebrated their 150th Anniversary in New York City with a PAWS parade, Adoptapalooza events, and the release of a new documentary “Second Chance Dogs”. As Vodka for Dog People, we were honored to bring our spirit to the celebrations.
Team Tito’s kicked the day off by walking in the parade with 20 of our friends, co-workers, and, of course, four legged friends. We walked and danced behind the Marching Cobras drum line, waving Vodka for Dog People banners and signs with photos of our rescued distillery dogs. Organized by the NYPD and led by Bernadette Peters, the parade route began at Madison Square Park and ended at Union Square Park at the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC Animals.
Team Tito’s headed over to Brooklyn to join our friends from Vans at their House of Vans HQ and help facilitate fee-waived adoptions, provided by Animal Planet. Together, we helped find forever homes for almost EVERY dog, cat, and rabbit.
Later that night, the ASPCA rolled out the red carpet for the premiere of the new documentary “Second Chance Dogs”, which will air on Animal Planet. Attendees sipped dog themed cocktails mixed with Tito’s Handmade Vodka and took part in a Q&A with the filmmaker moderated by NBC/Today Show News Anchor Tamron Hall.
