Record Store Day 2017
Record Store Day is one of our very favorite days of the year (except for National Vodka Day on October 4th). It’s a day when vinyl enthusiasts line up outside their favorite record stores to get their hands on exclusive album releases. It’s a day that spans genres and unites music lovers of all ages. There’s a palpable sense of comradery in those early morning lines, and an air of anxious excitement as fans wonder if they’ll find what they’re looking for… or discover something new entirely (which, in our opinion, is one of the joys of spending time at a record store).
This year, Record Store Day celebrates its 10th year of bringing music folks together to support our favorite medium, local businesses, and the love of really great music. It’s a year of major milestones all around, and we’re thrilled to be part of the fourth annual Record Store Day vinyl compilation. This one features a special anniversary track list devoted to the classic sound of Sun Records. Look for it at your record store!
Big thanks go out to Sun Records, Record Store Day, and all the small record store businesses out there for including us.
We’re proud to partner with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year to continue the celebration in support of the artists and local businesses who are carrying on the tradition, today and every day. Stay tuned to our Twitter feed for details on our pop-up record shops.
