World AIDS Day

Twenty-one years ago, in the early days of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Tito was asked to donate vodka for a nonprofit fundraiser here in Austin. That nonprofit was Project Transitions, which is dedicated to serving people with HIV and AIDS by providing supportive living, housing, recuperative care and hospice in compassionate and caring environments.

Tito attended the fundraiser and told attendees who tried his vodka, “if you like it, tell 20 of your closest friends.” And they did just that – not only about the vodka, but also about how Tito would support charitable events. The phone started to ring more often, and Tito’s fell into the “charity event” business. Since then, Project Transitions has always held a special spot in our hearts as the nonprofit where all of our philanthropic work started. Today, we’re taking a moment to show our support on World AIDS Day.

World AIDS Day is a time where people can unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV, and to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS-related illness. Founded in 1988, World AIDS Day was the first ever global health day.

Flash back to 1997 and learn how Tito's Handmade Vodka started giving back to the community.

If you’re local to Austin and want to support Project Transitions, grab your ticket to Snow Ball on December 8, 2018 for a winter wonderland celebration filled with Tito’s cocktails, festive bites, and lots of dancing.

We’re proud to stand up and continue working with nonprofits like Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, San Francisco AIDS Foundation, AIDS Walk Austin, RAIN, and more in the future.
