Purple basil is an Asian variety that has a distinct spicy-sweet, anise-clove flavor. If you can't find it, try Thai basil. Regular Italian sweet basil will do in a pinch, but it won't have quite the same impact.

2 oz Tito's Handmade Vodka Buy It
4-5 purple basil sprigs
3-4 lime slices
2 pure cane sugar cubes

Muddle the basil sprigs, lime slices, and sugar cube in a shaker.
Add Tito's Handmade Vodka and ice.
Shake and strain into double rocks glass over fresh ice.
Garnish with a purple basil sprig.
